giving back to our communities
We love to give back, and one of our core values at bRUNch Running is giving back to the communities in which we run. That is why all of our events and merchandise sales give back to some amazing nonprofit partners. We donate a dollar from each registration and piece of merchandise to our partners.
Metro Caring is Denver’s leading hunger-prevention organization on the front lines. Simultaneously fighting hunger and promoting sustainability, Metro Caring annually receives and redistributes over 2.3 million pounds of nutritious food (72% fresh) - a majority of which would otherwise have gone to waste. Metro Caring’s holistic approach to ending hunger includes a free, fresh-foods market, nutrition and gardening education, and tools for self-sufficiency such as the Seeds for Success job-training program, financial literacy education and state-wide ID procurement.
The Trail Foundation’s mission is to protect and enhance the Ann and Roy Butler Hike-and-Bike Trail at Lady Bird Lake. The foundation works in cooperation with the Austin Parks and Recreation Department to close the gap between what the City provides and what the Trail deserves.
SheLift was founded by Sarah Herron and a group of friends who shared the beliefs that we're not defined by our bodies, and that all girls deserve to love themselves wholeheartedly. Sarah and her friends also shared a common enthusiasm for the outdoor adventures – specifically in the mountains – and felt passionately about sharing the transformative powers of adventure with others.
Sarah and her friends want to show young women that whether it's on the slopes, on a trail or on a show... finding love is possible, and it starts with yourself.
2nd Recess is a health centered 501(c)3 youth running nonprofit serving San Diego County and schools/recreation sites across the country. Since our inception in the summer of 2011, our focus has been on inspiring San Diego youth and their families to be active through running and track & field. Introducing kids to fun and fitness through running builds healthy habits and reduces instances of obesity in adulthood.
