Beer for Breakfast

A beermosa is an excellent breakfast cocktail. Or coffee beer. Coffee and beer together as one, is amazing. It has everything you need for the day. Our partner breweries have provided us with some great morning beer recipes.

Great Divide Brewing Company

Colette Farmhouse Ale + Freshly Squeezed Orange Juice

Instructions: Mix 4 parts Colette to one part orange juice. Enjoy the magic of fresh fruit juice and Belgian-inspired beer.

This is a lovely way to start your meal and enjoy your weekend bRUNch. For a main course at your bRUNch, try a glass of Espresso Yeti Imperial Stout paired with a chorizo breakfast burrito. This pairing has caffeine and beckons as a well deserved start to your day off.

Renegade Brewing Company - Redacted Michelada

The black pepper note in Renegade's Redacted Rye IPA offers the perfect base for a tasty beer Bloody Mary or Michelada. Like it spicy? Go for it on this one!

Bloody Mary Mix or make one to your taste!

-tomato juice

-Worcestershire sauce

-celery salt

-prepared horseradish

-black pepper

-hot sauce (Valentina is my personal favorite)

One 12 ounce can of Redacted Rye IPA

Pour roughly 4 ounces of Bloody Mary mix into bottom of glass. Add ice if desired, but it can dilute the drink so I prefer using very cold beer instead. Pour one can of Redacted into glass and stir.

Want to get a little fancy? How about rimming the glass with celery salt before getting started. A slice of lime might impress your friends, too.

Epic Brewing Company - Big Bad Baptist - Imperial Stout aged in whiskey barrels with coffee and cacao nibs

Big Bad Baptist is the perfect breakfast beer because it combines classic Colombian coffee with whiskey and chocolate. Its bold, boozy, and will make your hair "of the dog" stand up straight.

Big Bad Baptist enjoys the company of classic bacon and eggs but it really starts to shine when you dial up the sweets. Try it with a stuffed Belgian waffle, ricotta doughnuts, or tall stack of pancakes. The more outrageous the better, Big Bad Baptist can hold up to it all. Just be careful, at 12% it can require a hefty post brunch nap.

Oskar Blues Brewery - Beermosa

1 Can of Mama's Little Yella Pils + 6 ounces of Orange Juice or1 Can on Pinner IPA + 6 ounces of Grapefruit Juice
