What to Eat for Breakfast on Thanksgiving

As you lace-up to run your local Turkey Trot this Thursday, you might also be thinking about what you are going to eat for breakfast post run. While you are probably going to indulge in some turkey, mashed potatoes, and pumpkin pie for your main Thanksgiving meal,  it is important that you still eat some sort of breakfast.

Here are some of our favorite Thanksgiving Morning Breakfast Ideas

Toast, Jam and Butter

So simple and yet so yummy. Pick your favorite type of bread or English muffin and add some fun seasonal jam (we recommend raspberry). This is sure to hit the spot.

Scones

You can’t go wrong here! But we do recommend that you either make these ahead of time or purchase them from a local bakery.

Crock-Pot Oatmeal

Have your house smell great from the moment you make this delicious dish until you fall into a food coma. We love this Banana Bread Oatmeal recipe.

Eggs and Bacon

While you will be getting a ton of protein from the turkey later on, post-Turkey Trot, eggs and bacon are always a good thing.

Pancakes

There is just something about eating pancakes after a run. Do we really need a reason to tell you why we are suggesting pancakes?

Happy Thanksgiving! #RunEatDrink
