Fall is in the air. There is nothing like running a race on a crisp fall day. In preparation and in celebration of all the food you will be eating this holiday season, they are some amazing races that will help you make room in your belly for all those delicious treats.

Pumpkin Pie 5K and 10K - November 15 - Denver

Pumpkin Pie is totally a brunch food. Haven’t you ever woken up the day after Thanksgiving and enjoyed a piece for breakfast? We have. The Pumpkin Pie 5K and 10K is Denver’s newest Thanksgiving Turkey Trot race. Runners and walkers can take advantage of a flat and fast course, and then enjoy a slice of sweet and tasty pumpkin pie at the finish. Their mission is to bring people together to have a fun, fit morning, all while supporting the many different needs throughout our region.

Mustache Dache - November 22 - Austin

I mustache you a question: What do you get when you cross Tom Selleck with Richard Simmons? That is the question behind the Mustache Dache, Austin’s biggest mustache-themed running party. The 5K fun run is all in support of Men’s Health Month. All participants in the Mustache Dache will receive a super-tasty, super-fine bit of mustache bling to hang about their neck and proclaim to their friends and family that they’re a true mustache fan.

Girls on the Run 5K - November 22 - Phoenix

Join Phoenix ambassador Shayne for a Saturday morning of running, music, snacks and supporting a great cause at the Girls on the Run 5K. The event is open to the public- men, women and children and participants of all levels are welcome. Whether this is your first 5k or your 100th you will have a blast at this unique and inspirational event.

Panicking Poultry Turkey Trot - November 22 - Boulder

In order to start pacing yourself for Thanksgiving, sign up for the Panicking Poultry Turkey Trot. The Panicking Poultry 5K is a flat and fast route, with a slight rise in the first half mile (which you get to come down as you approach the finish!!). The race starts and finishes on the roadway in front of the Boulder Reservoir pavilion. Runners will follow paved roads east to the Boulder Reservoir dam. The course then follows the well maintained dirt road atop the dam, with spectacular views of the foothills and snowcapped peaks.

Mile High United Way Turkey Trot - November 27 - Denver

As the producers of this race say “run you yams off” at the 41st Annual Mile High United Way Turkey Trot. If you have never done this race you should. There is no better way to start your Thanksgiving morning off with than a 4 mile run around Wash Park. Your participation in the Turkey Trot helps Mile High United Way build the community by improving childhood literacy, increasing high school graduation rates and ensuring economic self-sufficiency for adults and families.

LifeTime Turkey Day 5K - November 27 - Phoenix

Since 1989, the LifeTime Tureky Day 5K has been warming up Phoenix’s appetite on Thanksgiving morning. This year the race will feature to themed “aid stations,” pumkin pie aid station and the cranberry aid station. Grab the entire family earn that second helping of mashed potatoes. That’s our plan!
